Easter Sunday is March 28, 2027, in the middle of spring break for Savannah-Chatham public schools. Egg hunt dates for 2027 are not out yet. Here is what ran in 2026, so you know what to look for.

Egg hunts

Chatham County Parks: Annual Eggstravaganza, Lake Mayer Community Park. The county’s 2026 Eggstravaganza was 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, with an egg hunt, a sensory-friendly zone, obstacle courses and food trucks. Lake Mayer Community Park is at 1850 E. Montgomery Cross Road. The 2027 date is not out yet. Call Chatham County Parks at (912) 652-6780.

Service Brewing: brewery egg hunt. Service Brewing Co., 574 Indian St., held its 2026 Easter Egg Hunt from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026, with two hunts: 1 p.m. for ages 6 to 10 and 1:45 p.m. for ages 5 and under. The brewery hid more than 6,000 eggs, including golden eggs with prizes, and asked for a suggested donation for Loop It Up, a local nonprofit that runs arts programs for young people. The 2027 date is not out yet.

City of Savannah. The city has not posted a 2027 egg hunt. We will add city, church and neighborhood egg hunts here, with dates and age groups, as each organizer announces them. If your church or group is holding one open to the public, send the date, time, place and ages through our contact page.

Easter services

Churches publish Holy Week and Easter service times in March. The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist says its regular Mass schedule changes on holidays and posts the changes on its Mass times page and calendar; the parish office is at (912) 233-4709. We will list Easter sunrise services that are open to the public once churches announce them.

Chatham County’s 2026 holiday schedule did not include Good Friday or Easter, so county offices stayed open; its 2027 schedule is not posted yet. Friday, March 26, 2027, is a school holiday for SCCPSS.
